Before there was a Jesus Companion...
There was simply golf club cover named Baby Jesus.
And honestly? I needed Him🤗
that time in my life, my ADHD brain could spin a hundred miles an hour🍥
Worry. Ideas. Questions. Fear. Excitement.
More ideas.
If you know, you know 😊
Then God sent one of my Light Bringers 🦋 into my life.
The butterflies in my paintings represent those special people
God places in our path at exactly the right time💫
The Light Bringer 🦋shared with me her very own Baby Jesus 🥰(that is an actual golf club ⛳️ cover 🤣)
At first, I thought it was such a kind gesture,
I had no idea how much I would come to love him 🥰
Holding him when life felt overwhelming or my companion while I painted 🧑🎨
He became a simple reminder to stop spiraling 🌀 and turn to Jesus👆
and was a great Jesus conversation starter to point others to start seeking 🤗
One Sunday at church, everything changed for me.
A little girl named Brooke sat down next to me…..
Brooke is the daughter of a wonderful mom
who holds a special place in my heart💝
(Brooke did not know how much I loved painting 🎨hearts ❤️in the desert 🌵 )
she could barely contain her excitement.
"Cindee!" she said.
"I prayed last night and asked Jesus and he showed me how to make hearts 💕!!"
I stopped in my tracks.
"What do you mean Jesus showed you?"
With complete childlike confidence,
she explained that the night before she had been talking to Jesus,
and He showed her how to draw hearts at her request.
My heart nearly burst💥
I immediately tore a page out of my journal and handed it to her.
She sat down and began drawing ✍🏻
Heart after heart after heart.
The most beautiful hearts I had ever seen!
because they were perfect💖
because they came from Jesus✝️
That page still lives inside my Bible today ❤️
As I watched her drawing, I felt a nudge.
A strong one.
The kind you know is from God.
“Give her your Baby Jesus”
Immediately I started negotiating.
"Lord... not this one."
I wasn't ready. I loved my Baby Jesus🫶
He had become part of my daily conversations with Our Father
and started so many conversations with others ☝️🗣️
The nudge wouldn't leave….
So I knelt down beside Brooke and asked her:
"If I give you my Baby Jesus, will you talk to Jesus every day?"
Without hesitation she smiled and said:
"Oh Yes! "
So I handed him to her.
And she hugged him. Tight I smiled……Then immediately regretted it 😂
Drove home with peace ☮️
Top down, arms in the air 🙌 praising Our Father
Deep down, I knew what He was teaching me
Love is meant to be shared.
Faith is meant to be shared.
Jesus is meant to be shared.
What I didn't realize at the time was that God
was planting 🌿 the seed for something much bigger…..
Because the real gift wasn't the Baby Jesus.
The real gift was the reminder to
Stop.
Pray.
Return to Jesus .
What I didn’t know then was that this was only the beginning of the nudges❤️….more below👇
❤️ AND THEN CAME A MOMENT AT THE FISHING POND...
One day I was at the fishing pond.
I happened to have Baby Jesus tucked inside my hippie flower bag
because I was planning to have a photo shoot.
While I was there, I saw a kid at the pond slip and fall into the water💦
He hurt his hand and his phone, his Dad told him to shake it off, he was upset
I felt a the nudge to sit right down beside him ✝️
He noticed Baby Jesus peeking out of my bag.
I asked him: “Do you know Jesus?”
He nodded yes.
And there it was again. That familiar nudge💗
I looked at Baby Jesus. I looked at him. And I knew.
Baby Jesus wasn't coming home with me that day.
I asked him if he would promise to talk to Baby Jesus every night if I gave him Baby Jesus to take home 💕
His eyes got so big 🥹
And then he said something I don't think I'll ever forget:
“I'LL BE JESUS' BEST FRIEND” ❤️
There is no photograph. No video. No social media moment.
Just a kid at a fishing pond who’s best friend is Jesus🥰
❤️ AND THEN IT HAPPENED AGAIN...
After obtaining another Baby Jesus from the local liquor store to call my own
(it was a golf ⛳️club cover)😂
Someone very dear to me 🦋 daughter was walking through a difficult season.
And once again, I felt that familiar nudge in my heart.
“Share Baby Jesus”
When life feels heavy...
When our thoughts start spinning...When fear and worry begin creeping in...
Stop. Pray. Return Jesus.
He was meant to be shared ❤️
I found him on Amazon and was able to ship him directly to her❤️
Recently found He was “Currently unavailable” 🙃
❤️ AND THEN... Baby Jesus was no longer available🚨
The funny little golf club cover that had unexpectedly
become such an important part of my journey couldn't be shared💧
What if this wasn't the end of the story?
What if instead of searching for another Baby Jesus...we created one? ❤️
Not just another doll or golf cart cover..,,
A Jesus Companion
designed intentionally to remind us of the lessons God
had been teaching me all along.
Something soft enough to hold when life feels heavy 😆
Something to remind us to pause and pray when our thoughts begin to spiral 🌀
Something we could carry with us that might open the door to a conversation about Jesus🗣️
And something meaningful enough that, when that familiar nudge comes...
we might be willing to share him.
After lots of prays 🤲 I knew exactly what I wanted every detail to say:
