For most of my life, I lived in the corporate world.
Building. Selling. Launching. Growing.
Always chasing the next goal. The next deal. The next opportunity.
And honestly, I was pretty good at it.
But life has a way of slowing you down when God wants your attention🙃
After being laid off for the first time of many in a few short years,
I suddenly found myself with something I hadn't had in years...
Time⏰
Near my home was a rocky trail
I always said: "If I ever had the time, I would pick up all the trash on the top of the mountain"
Well... God gave me the time 😊
So on that hot June morning, armed with a trash bag, gardening gloves, and a bottle of water, I headed up the trail.
What I thought would be a couple hours of picking up trash turned into something completely different.
For eight hours I picked up litter🗑️ Hanging off cliffs, going head to head with wildlife.
And somewhere along the way, God started helping me pick up the litter in my own life🙌
The grief. The hurt. The unforgiveness.
The things I had buried for years.
So I kept going back. Walking. Praying. Listening.
Talking with God 🗣️
Sometimes crying. Sometimes laughing. Sometimes just sitting in the quiet peacefulness of nature 🌳
Looking back now, I realize I had known Jesus my whole life💗
I had just buried Him deep under busyness, striving, loss, and trying to carry everything on my own.
Step by step, He brought me back✨
In April 2024, I was baptized💦
I wish I could tell you that from that day forward everything became easy😌
It didn't.
What I discovered is that baptism is not the finish line🏁
It's the beginning🌅
After we find Jesus, He begins the work of making our hearts new❤️
That means letting go of old hurts. Old habits. Old fears. Old ways of thinking.
The Bible calls it repentance.
Not perfection.
Turning away from what pulls us from God and learning to walk closer with Him✝️
And honestly, that can be hard in today's world.
Every day there are distractions. Temptations. Noise.
Old patterns trying to pull us backward ⏪
I have learned that Jesus will never force us to follow Him. But He will lovingly get our attention❤️🩹
Sometimes through blessings. Sometimes through challenges.
Sometimes through a mountain trail, a painted heart, a conversation with a stranger, or a season we never would have chosen for ourselves.
The path with Jesus is the most beautiful journey I have ever known☮️
But it is not always a straight path. There are twists. There are turns.
There are moments when we listen closely and moments when we wander.
This website is the story of how God kept calling me back☎️
Again and again. One step at a time. One lesson at a time. One heart at a time. ❤️
